Bombshells Salon is an upscale, stylish salon located in downtown Beaverton. April and Da’Lynne are the proud co-owners and stylists of Bombshells Salon, which will be opening tomorrow!!! I had the pleasure of working with them on a few projects.

I didn’t design their logo, but I did print their business cards. They were done on pearl card stock. Can you tell that is one of my favorite finishes? I also designed a postcard so they could let their current customers know they are moving. Here are their business cards and postcards. What do you think?

In addition, I did the vinyl on their front door and in their entry way, but the photos didn’t turn out so you are going to have to take my word for it. Or better yet, you can go and check it out yourself.

The girls also had me design labels for their retail bags. Their bags are white, but this is what I had to work with so just go with it, okay?

To keep their product separate from retail product, we made “Property of” labels. To place on the backs of the shampoo bottles and other product. I’m pretty sure they don’t carry “Bed Head,” but I had this empty bottle still in my shower and thought I would put it to good use. It was such a great model. Props to you shampoo bottle. Your check is in the mail! Thanks!

I’ve really enjoyed watching the salon evolve in just six short weeks. April and Da’Lynne have put a ton of time and energy into making this salon come together. I thought I’d give you a “tour” of the salon so you can see how stylish it is! Can you guess where most of the furniture is from?

Check these out! April’s adorable husband was thoughtful enough to buy personalized M & M’s with the Bombshell’s logo on them. Their logo girl has been appropriately named Ima. Ima Bombshell. Get it? Hahaha!

I’d like to Congratulate April and Da’Lynne on their beautiful salon. I wish you both the best of luck. If you live in the Portland/Beaverton area and you need your hair “did” or a custom spray tan, go and check out Bombshells Salon. Say hello to the girls for me!

Okay, so I know you all must be dying to see how my Whoopie Pies turned out? Let’s just say that it’s always a good idea to have a “practice” round when you are baking something new. I know I always need one! By the second pan full of batter, I had a total handle on the proper amount of batter than I needed to put in each cup. How do you think they turned out?

Don’t you just love my baker’s twine? I think it’s super cute. It’s all the rage right now. I’ve seen it on packages, invitations, baked goods, etc. I even ordered some to wrap all of my Modern Moments’ packages with. I am planning on showing you all my new marketing material really soon. I love thinking of new and different ways I can package and ship my products. I’ll post more on this soon. For now, enjoy my Whoopie Pies.

** On a side note, I have no idea how to use my new camera yet, but I’d love any help, suggestions, critiques that you can give me. I am learning as I go. So bear with me while I learn! I’m sure my images will improve and I will look back of my first posts and cringe!**

So, are you in love with these Whoopie Pies as much as I am? What about the straws? So cute, right? I will post the results tomorrow. They sure taste yummy though!

Little Miss Avery was born one year ago today! She came into the world on Mother’s Day last year. I can’t believe how fast time flies. Avery’s Mom is my dear friend, Julie. If I had a twin sister, it would be Julie. I need to dedicate a whole blog post to that another time though. Today is Avery’s day!

I had the pleasure of doing Avery’s first birthday invitation! It is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I can say that, right? To be honest, I think it’s the photographs that make this birthday invitation so cute! These beautiful photographs were taken by Jennifer Cordero Photography . Jennifer is a super talented photographer. I can’t wait to work with her on some future projects I have coming up! This won’t be the last time you will see her featured on my blog. That’s for sure! You won’t even believe where Jennifer took these photos. Oh, don’t look at me!? I’m not telling!

Julie selected a 4.5″ by 5″ accordion fold birthday invitation. We had these press printed on pearl cardstock. They are so shimmery and beautiful. I’ll let you see for yourself.

Aren’t they adorable? Wait, there’s more!!!

And a few more. . .

You want to see the back too, right?

I couldn’t resist making some matching Scrabble tiles too. I thought Julie could wear them to Avery’s party or give them to Avery’s Grandmas to proudly display.

Avery’s party will be later this week and I have a lot more exciting things to post. I collaborated with another Etsy seller, who shall remain nameless until later, to make something extra special for Avery’s birthday party! I’m so excited to show you, I can hardly stand it!!! You will have to wait though and check back later in the week. Let’s just say this item will be perfect on the dessert table!

P.S. Can you guess which photos I took with my new Mother’s Day present???
