It’s only January and I am finished with Skyler and Emerson’s birthday parties (at least until next December, 11 months and counting). Our crazy little Jackson is next in line for the Wilcox birthday extravaganza!!! If you’ve ever heard me talk about Jackson, you are all too familiar with his personality! He goes a little like this. . . he is loud, very loud. He is full of energy and super loving. He is wild and crazy, with an added dose of crazy. He is thoughtful and kind. Bust most of all, he is Jackson.
It was only fitting that we throw him a ROCK STAR birthday party! At three, he already has many characteristics of a rocker. He loves tattoos. He’d have me apply temporary tattoos all day long if I’d let him. Tattoos are definitely a must for a rock star. {Look closely for some faux tattoos on his upcoming invites). He loves women. Don’t get me started on this one. I am going to have my hands full when he is a teenager. What rock star doesn’t love women, right? He loves loud music!!! He is always asking me to turn the music up. He loves to party! If only we could bottle up some of his energy! A definite rocker must!!
I’m currently working on his invite. I am so excited to share it with you, but you are going to have to wait. I’m mean. I know! While you wait, please check out the AMAZING and ADORABLE photos that my friend Courtney shot of Jackson. Courtney has her own photography business, which is appropriately named Courtney Jade Photography. She is also the one who took Emerson’s First Birthday photos that we used on his invitation. She is near and dear to my heart and so are these photos. Courtney does truly amazing work! You’ve got to check out Courtney’s site and make sure you visit her blog too! These invites wouldn’t be the same without the wonderful photos, Courtney!! Thank you so much!!!!
**If you have any suggestions for Rock Star Food, I’d love to hear about it. I am planning on including pop rocks, cake pops, and candy. The color scheme is black, white, teal and Jack’s favorite color PINK!! Anything that would coordinate, would be awesome!
PS- Jackson is planning on marrying Courtney!!! How cute is that? She is amazing with children, if you are ever looking to have your little ones photographed, she’s PERFECT for the job!!

ADORABLE!! he is soo cute and of course I LOVE the pink!!! Good thing his mamma came around from that purple color and now loves pink!! 😉 He is a little ROCK STAR!! >well you can have star fruit, cute on a stick too.. candy rocks at bottom of some cute tray or something holding the cake pops/star pops..
ohh.. and some yummy POPcorn, diff flavors or popcorn balls, of course serve soda POP in bottles, with your cute labels..tootsie POP’s suckers.. I am sure you already thought of all of those though..
He is too cute! I can’t wait to see all of the party details. I love the idea of custom bottle labels…I just created some today for my son Pax’s upcoming party. I am just a novice designer, so this was my first attempt at creating these using Photoshop. I would love to see some of the ones you have designed. To see what I created, you can follow this link to my blog: https://hipsterhostess.blogspot.com/2011/01/soda-pop-custom-bottle-labels.html
I am doing a rockstar theme for my daughter’s 6th bday (the party is in 2 weeks) and I am doing cake pops to look like microphones, pink POPcorn and rock candy as well as marshmallow POPS. I am also doing pop rocks but you mentioned that one.
I can’t wait to see your party pics!
ice cream cone microphones topped with a popcorn ball instead of ice cream! star shaped sandwiches (easy with a cookie cutter)
and obviously don’t advise having kids drink it, but isn’t there a rock star drink you could use for decoration?
I gave my daughter a ROCK STAR party for her 5th birthday and we had all the desserts listed but as for food… we served all the greasy yummy food we imagined there would be back stage at a rock concert like Fried Chicken and Macaroni & Cheese. I’m sure they could be served in adorable individual portions.
I forgot to mention that out of all the parties I have ever planned for my kids, that was by far their absolute favorite. My mother-in-law had bought a great kareoke machine that had great speakers and 2 microphones and my husband built a temporary stage that we totally decked out. I had planned all these games and activities but once the kids got on “stage” and started singing and performing there was no getting them off the stage. All my activities went out the door. So, maybe you could convince your wonderful husband to build you a “stage”!!
What a cute guy! Very rock star of him to like pink! I didn’t read all the comments but rock candy is always fun! They have something called Pop Rocks Dips, rock candy on a string. I love this site https://www.bulkcandystore.com/default.aspx They usually have minimums too high for me to purchase but you can shop for candy by color and its great for ideas! 🙂
Hi, I just dropped by to tell you that the pictures from my Pax’s All Star birthday party came back today. I posted pictures on my blog: https://www.hipsterhostess.blogspot.com
Also, I didn’t know if you had seen it yet, but Hostess with the Mostess posted about a “Love Rocks” Valentine party today…I thought you might like to check it out since you are planning a Rock Star party for your son.

I’ll have to go and check out your post! Thank you so much for sending me to Hostess Blog! I already saw that this morning. I am totally planning on doing the tattoos. One of my printing presses prints them. I did them for my son’s mustache party! It was so fun!
another dessert idea from tatertots and jello’s post today

I love this idea. I am going doing a Rock Star for my son this summer for this big 10. We are in the process of looking for a old garage to host the party and the children will arrive to the party in a limo!
