My dear friend, Lisa, who I met while we were both students at Portland State University is pregnant with her second child. I just love babies so naturally, I was very excited!! I was even more excited when I found out I could be a part of her very special baby shower. Her bestie Vanessa styled this “Apple of my Eye” baby shower for her. She did the most amazing job.
The shower was decorated with polka dotted kraft paper table runners and jars of red and green apples. Doilies were also used as accents, to add a more feminine touch. The baby shower featured a grilled sandwich bar for the main coarse. This was so much fun! Each guest added a flag pick with their name so the sandwiches wouldn’t get mixed up. Great idea Vanessa!
Aren’t these little chip bags adorable? I used my Silhouette machine to cut them out! Oh, the things I’m going to make with that machine. Watch out. I also designed matching wraps for these paper disposable soup cups.
One of my favorite parts of the shower was the dessert buffet. The shower was at Vanessa’s cousin, Carla’s house. Carla’s husband is an artist and used the invitation I designed as inspiration. He created the most amazing chalk art. I was blown away with how perfect it was. Carla not only offered up her beautiful home, but she is also a fabulous baker who owns Portland Pie Co.. She was responsible for the apple pie in jars and the apple shortbread cookie. Isn’t this one talented family?
Here was my gift to Lisa! It wasn’t very exciting, but I made it look pretty by adding some vinyl lettering to it. Also, I got this perfect little lunch box at Target to package her gift in. Don’t you just love Target?

Oh Jessica, this shower is absolutely precious! The printables are darling (LOVE the doily edge, especially on the circle toppers…now I need to get a Silhouette!) and I love the simple elegance of it all. This would be a perfect 1st birthday theme, back-to-school or teacher retirement party as well!
The lunchbox you used is sweet! I looked on Target’s website, but couldn’t find it. I’m a Portland gal too–which local store did you find it at?
Thanks,

Hey Lisa, I bought it at the Tanasbourne location, but I am guessing they all have them? They were near the other storage (big clear bins) on one of the main isles! This shower would be great for any of those occasions too! I love it when people think outside of the box! I will have to go and check out your site too! Thanks for stopping by!
