I am just going to give you a quick overview of the party and a few behind the scenes details that I may have left out. First, I was super impressed with all the fun tropical items that Oriental Trading carries. I must say that the Ceramic Pineapple Tumblers were my favorite items. They are ceramic as the name implies. They come apart which is super fun, and they also have the perfect little hole to place a pretty straw. If you want to include my fun straw flags, you can purchase these Pineapple Straw Flags to make your drink pretty too!
I also totally loved how versatile the Tropical Leaves were. I even used them in my Pineapple Bar Banner tutorial. Make sure you go and see the EASY step-by-step instructions. Can you see the Gold Foil Striped Paper Straws? Eek! I love anything gold foiled and these straws are awesome. You need to stock up on these and use them whenever you can. Make ice tea? Use the Gold Foil Striped Paper Straws. Milk shakes anyone? Use the Gold Foil Striped Paper Straws. You won’t be disappointed.
Make sure you check out our Pineapple Invitations. They are the perfect way to kick off your event. All of your friends will be so excited to attend when they receive these little gems in the mail. I have also designed coordinating Tropical Return Address Label Wraps that you can use when you are addressing your invites. I don’t know what it is, but I still LOVE it when I get pretty mail. Let’s be real for a minute. I almost NEVER get the mail unless it’s my birthday or I am waiting for a package. My poor husband asks me on a daily basis if I got the mail. The answer is always NO. BUT, when I do get the mail and there is something pretty waiting for me my heart skips a beat. Don’t under estimate the importance of pretty mail.
This poolside party wouldn’t be complete without cocktails. I created 3 different drink recipes that you can download. The first one was a delicious fruity number called the Golden Pineapple. The kind people at Prairie Organic Spirits sent me this gorgeous bottle of Organic Vodka. You know I buy products based on the label and this would have jumped off the shelf into my basket for sure. It also tasted perfect along with all the other ingredients. Check it out!
The next drink was a bit different. I have been obsessed with Horchata lately. When I was buying liquor based on the prettiest bottle, of course this bottle blew my mind. It was too pretty to pass up so I had to craft a drink around it. See that pretty Rum Chata bottle on the far left? Yes, that is a white bottle with a beautiful gold top and gold foiled lettering. I mean the bottle is stunning.
This drink was a mix of Rum Chata + delicious pineapple juice. You will have to give it a try. Download the Tiki Chata Drink Recipe now and use it at your next cocktail party! Plus, you should pick up some of these retro Tiki Tumblers. They were another party favorite!
The last drink I featured was the Tropical Sunshine. It was another fruity drink that was full of flavor. Add Ginger Ale + Pineapple juice and your taste buds are bound to be doing the happy dance. Forget Sunshine in your pocket, let’s talk about sunshine in your mouth!
My parties rarely feature “real” food. It’s typically drinks and desserts. This party was really no exception. My dear friend Kyra, of Kyra’s Bake Shop make the perfect little cupcakes and sugar cookies. They were almost too pretty to eat, but you can’t keep me away from a cupcake! Haha! Truth!
I must say the delicate flamingos and the monstera leaves were my favorite. Aren’t they darling? Did I mention they are gluten free too? Kyra is the only 4-Time Cupcake Wars Champion. She only makes gluten free food and it’s simply amazing!
On a side note, have you noticed my model’s nails? Her name is Lisa and she sells Jamberry nail decals. Her nails were totally on point and she was the best model! Lisa and I go way back. Back to our college days! Thanks Lisa!
Oriental Trading also has these adorable pineapple favor containers. I love these little Pineapple Favor Containers. They make the perfect take away gift. I filled them with Jelly Belly jean beans and added these fun Pineapple Thank You Tags.
Some of my other favorite items from this party include these fun tropical flowers I got at my local New Seasons. The planter is from Goodwill and I thought it would be perfect. Little did I know, it had a bunch of holes in it. You live and you learn and you just roll with it.
I also got this white ceramic pineapple at Hobby Lobby. It was my first visit to Hobby Lobby and I must say I was a bit disappointed. Though I do love my pretty white pineapple! Keep a look out for it to resurface at future parties.
Also, I am obsessed with glass stir sticks. These were perfect for this pineapple themed party! I love retro items like these stir sticks.
