Let’s face it, I am a Mom of 4 young kids so New Year’s Eve usually consists of board games, eating, watching a movie, more eating, and a little drinking! By the time New Year’s Eve rolls around, I am so worn out with all the hustle and bustle of two kids birthdays and Christmas that I can’t possibly think of throwing together another party!
Well, I’d like to change that next year. Maybe that could be one of my New Year’s resolutions. If you follow me on facebook, you know that I’ve already decided to tackle the Art of Modern Calligraphy in the New Year. I never make New Year’s resolutions. When I have an idea/goal I just do it and frankly, I am not patient enough to wait until January 1st to start something new. But this year, I’m going to be wild and throw out another New Year’s Resolution. Are you ready? I am going to host an awesome New Year’s Eve Party in my NEW home (which we will also purchase next year) complete with confetti party poppers, party hats, a signature cocktails and glitter galore! ! Okay, hold me to it people! I know I can do it since I have a whole year to plan for it!
This year, I will be vicariously Ringing in the New Year with RedEnvelope. UPDATE: RedEnvelope has closed it’s virtual doors. You can now find many of these items on their sister site, Gifts.com They have many personalized products that you won’t be able to live without. Heck, I can use these fun ideas as a starting point for my party next year. It’s never to early to start planning. Here goes nothing. . .
Every New Year’s party needs to have a fully stocked bar. I’m not just talking about alcohol here either. I’m talking about all the bar essentials. The last bar setup I did was my Tiki Time Bar Party which was so much fun, but New Year’s Eve is much more glamorous. Here are some must-have bar essentials from RedEnvelope (Update: See Gifts.com) that every great bar should be equipped with. My party is likely to feature a “Beer and Bubbly” setup. That’s right, beer for the men and, of course, bubbly for the ladies. I’m not being sexist here. Ladies, you can totally drink beer too {wink-wink}. But men, stay away from our bubbly until the clock strikes twelve.

We’re going to need some food to go along with all of our Beer and Bubbly, don’t you think? I’m in love with miniature food. I don’t care what it is, if it’s small, then I love it! Check out some of these ideas for “Eats & Treats” that could easily be served on New Year’s Eve. Doesn’t all the edible glitter make the food look extra delicious? I think so. Plus, I just discovered the book “Bite by Bite,” by Peter Callahan full of bite sized recipes. Umm. . . I am so buying this book ASAP!

When I’m throwing a party, it’s all about the little details. Here are some fun decorating ideas that I will use for inspiration when I throw my incredible New Year’s Eve party! I will also design an invitation and complete printable collection to go with it, so stay tuned!!! I’m just loving all of these creative and fun ideas.

Well, I know that I am certainly inspired to throw an EPIC (is that word even cool this year) New Year’s Eve Party next year! I hope that you will be inspired to do the same. If you think of any ideas I left out, let me know. I will add them to my Ringing in the New Years Pinterest board so they will be ready for next year. If you already have plans for this year, have a FABULOUS and SAFE New Year’s Eve!
xo,
Jessica
