Alright, I threw this party over a year ago. Yes, I said it, over a year ago. To my defense, I had to recreate this party. We originally threw his party at a Pirate Themed indoor miniature golf course, called Glowing Greens which is full of blacklights and neon displays. We had our Pirate Party in December in Oregon. Not the best weather, hence we picked an INDOOR miniature golf course for our venue. The kids thought it was amazing, but it wasn’t a very good environment for taking photos. Needless to say, I tried to save many of the items I used at the party so I could recreate it. So, this isn’t exactly what my party looked like, but it’s pretty darn close! Hope you enjoy our Ahoy Matey’s, Pirate Party so without further ado. . .

One of my favorite items from this party are the custom fabric bags. I’ve done these for a few of my other parties and I love them each and every time. They are NOT screen printed or iron-ons. The fabric is professionally printed with beautiful water-based pigments on a linen-cotton canvas blend. The bags are nice that thick!  They are a super fun way to say “thank you” to your guest for coming. Plus, they are a nice keepsake too.

Skyler’s pirate invite is one of my favorites. My favorite photographer, Courtney Jade of Courtney Jade Photography, took amazing photos of Skyler. We even took a trip to the beach to capture these incredible images. As always,  I couldn’t have been happier with the results. I loved all the photos so much that I wanted to use several of them on his invitation. I also wanted it to look like a vintage treasure map and pirate-esk. We rolled the invites up and delivered them in these cute wooden boxes I purchased in the dollar sections at Michael’s.

Okay, I do have one confession! Since all the other paper products were already designed, I had a little more time to design some custom cake flags. I will be offering both generic and custom flags in my shop! These are just a fun touch to add to your party! You can put them anywhere, but I bought this cute little cake at Albertson’s and thought it needed something to make it more theme friendly!

Did I mention that I purchased all the baked goods too? For the “real” party, I baked everything, but since I was just “staging” this party, I went to my local grocery store and purchased all the baked goods! This is a nice time saver if you don’t have the time to bake. Honestly, I don’t think anyone cares anyways. Wait, unless it’s my Mom. She cares if I baked them or they were store bought. Haha! I just love her and I can make a mean cupcake too. You know I LOVE cupcake. Speaking of my Mom, she was also nice enough to come over and help me watch the kids while I staged this and photographed it. Thanks Mom!

I purchased these Pirate Hooks at JoAnn Crafts in October when all the Halloween costumes were out. See, it pays to plan your parties well in advance because then you can buy things ahead of time. It’s easier on your pocket book too. Plus, I used my 40% off coupon and these hooks ended up being really reasonable. For these tags, I printed them out and then I actually burned all the edges by hand. If you do this, be careful. You don’t want to set your house on fire in the name of party decor. Really, it’s not worth it, but I just think they look so cute! Thankfully, my house is still in tact.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at this party! I have at least 3 more parties to share with you. I will try to get them posted in a week or two. Has anyone noticed that I’ve been blogging a lot more lately? I’ve really miss you all! I’ve really missed blogging. Sometimes, there’s just not enough hours in the day to get to everything I want to do! Lately, I’ve been trying to do the things that I really want to do first and then everything else. I’d love your feedback on this new/old collection!

XO,

Jessica
