***UPDATE. This Giveaway is over, but check back soon for some more FREE stuff!! The winner who was randomly selected is. . .
Comments #4– Jennifer T, who said, βI already like you, thanks to my good friend Courtney Jade sharing you with me. β Congratulations Jennifer T!” ***
I’d like to first start off by welcoming any one who has just joined my blog. (Don’t worry, you haven’t missed out on too much! You can check out all of my previous entries under my “Archives.” It will be ONE year in May since I started blogging!) Secondly, I’d like to thank the wonderful and amazingly talented girls at Hostess {with the Mostess} and the TomKat Studio for featuring my recent work. The response has been amazing! I couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you Jenn, Kim, and Toni for being so kind to me, it means the world to me!! Lastly, I’d like to thank my LOYAL followers for supporting me, referring your friends to me, and for all the wonderful support you’ve given me, even before I had a blog to share with the world. I truly have gained some amazing friends through this process and I couldn’t feel more blessed.
**I also made a few quick updates to my blog. I made it easier for you to find me on facebook. Please go to facebook and “LIKE” me {because you know I like you}. I’m feeling sad only having 100+ friends. You can also check me out on twitter, I’m making a conscious effort to tweet more. You can NOW also subscribe to my RSS feed really easy!!! **
So. . . now that all the mushy stuff is out of the way, I’d like to share with you something I designed recently! As many of your know, my brother-in-law, Ryan (check out You Look Nice Today Photography and tell him I sent you!) is a professional photographer. We are lucky to have him take our family photos several times a year. I always have a ton of shots that I display in a large photo arrangement on my wall, but I’m never sure what else to do with them.
I’ve been drooling over these mini Accordion Photo Books for months now (who am I kidding, at the rate it takes me, it could be years. So much to design, so little time! Oh, the story of my life. Yours too?). I finally designed one and can I just say that I LOVE it!!! Yes, I LOVE it. I keep it in my purse and every time I look at it, it makes me smile.
I created a calendar out of mine, but I am planning on designing ones with all photos. What a better way to display some of your most cherished photos. The good news is, they are pocket size and fit nicely in your purse. The cover and back have a magnet in them to keep them closed too. How cool is that? They also make great gifts for mothers, mother-in-laws, etc.
I’ll have these available in my shop shortly with all the details. They come in sets of three so get one for yourself and share the rest. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
xoxo,
Jessica
PS- Since I have had so much support lately, I feel like I should “pay it forward” and give back. Give and you shall receive, right? I am giving away a set of 3 of these mini accordion calendars to ONE random follower.
1)To enter to win, leave a comment on my blog and tell me what you do with all of your beautiful photos.
2)For an extra entry, go to facebook and “like” me and come back and leave a comment on my blog (Do you already “like” me? That’s nice of you, just tell me by leaving a comment saying we were already friends.)
BONUS ENTRY- Facebook or Tweet about me in your status bar and then come back and tell me that you were so kind to spread the word about me! All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (PST) on FRIDAY, January 14th, 2011. Good Luck!

I LOVE framing my photos and getting them up on my walls!!!
….and we are already friends on facebook!! π
How creative are you!! Seriously amazing!!
As a mother of 3 boys myself, I always have lots of photos hanging on our walls as you walk into our home. I also tape a special pic of the 3 of them on the inside of my planner that I carry with me so when they are not with me (which is rare) I can take a quick peek when I’m in need of a smile.
I try to keep a digital scrap book, but well . . . time. Plus, I am not a very good photographer, so my supply of “beautiful” photos is limited. I love your blog!
I am newly addicted to miXbo0k and am trying to keep on top of recording aLL famiLy & life events there!
ps new to bloG and LOVEEEEEEEEEE it!
We aRe aLso friends on FB!
I jusT poSTed abouT you on my FB staTus!
OHHH YAY!! I am loving these! And I mean LOVING!! They are absolutely darling!
What do I do with all my beautiful photos? Sadly, nothing! They are all pretty much on the computer!! I do blog a few of my faves, but the vast majority just hang out in Aperture without a soul ever seeing them!
I already “Like” you on Facebook! I found you last week via your party that was floating around the cyber world and have been hooked ever since!
The mirror in my bedroom is framed with photos. It makes me happy to see them there every day!
And I “like” you! I went to Michael’s today and bought the stuff to make those mini cupcake stands. Love love love them! I’m so happy I found my way over to your blog the other day.
Lately I’ve been into displaying collections of photos by buying frames at yard sales and thrift stores and painting them all the same color. Lots of character and inexpensive.
This is such a cute idea… I do not know how you do it!! You are so talented, where you find the time I have no idea… I did like you on fb but I am not trying to enter in the contest… You already are doing enough for the twins and I … and lets be honest if it were not for you I think Laura would go insane! Just wanted to leave you a little note!!
These are adorable!!
What would I do? I like your idea actually! I have two kids, a mom and a mother in law!!
Thanks Courtney for suggesting you I now like you.
Oops mixed it in with the last comment … I now Like you!! π
I ‘Like’ you on FB!!
So cute! I take lots of pictures and I frame them, use them in scrapbooks and share them with family and friends. π
LOVE it, J!!!!! Perfect as always! What do I do with my extra photos, you ask?? Why I make them into photo blocks of course! π
Love you, girl!
LOVE LOVE LOVE. You always amaze me. We take TONS of pics and I rarely get around to printing them. They end up filed away on the computer or if lucky on our family website.
We are already friends on facebook (besides during Monday’s game of course!)!!
love all your stuff!
We are friends on FB already so of course I “like” you and I just posted my status update that is all about your give away and not just cause I’d love to win your give away but also to spread the word at how amazing your designs are! π
Hi i like to keep my wallets of my daughter on me of all times and the pictures i hang up on the wall.. i have put them in order as she grows so u can she her as she grows up π
Unfortunately, I always have all these great ideas for my photos but more times than not they end up stored on my hard drive. π Although, a kind friend of mine made me a wall calendar with tons of pics in it for Christmas and I love it…would love a purse sized version even more!!!! π
Also, went and liked you on Facebook prior to reading this contest…you do amazing work!
I put my pictures in frames all over the walls!! Then there’s the whole stack of pictures that need to go into the scrapbook (someday I’ll find time to scrapbook)!! Oh and I already like you on facebook π Too Creative Jess!!
I like you on FB…and if there were a “Love” button…I’d love you too!
Regarding my photos: I sleep with them, take them for walks, cuddle with them and I try to scrapbook digitally too. I post a whole freakin lot of them on FB too. π
Jess…you rule!
I make photo albums online at Blurb, Snapfish, and Shutterfly! And I “liked” you before I even saw this contest, so hey, we were already friends! π
Love these! I’ve been trying to find a cute accordion calendar template recently and couldn’t find a great one! So creative!
I am pretty sure I like you already, if not I do and I love all your work so cute and creative. My beautiful photos are save on my computer with hope that someday they will be scrapbooked. Anyone know a good inexpensive site for digital scrapbooking. Jessica love the new photo book so cute and a great size to keep with you.
we just moved into a new house and am totally obsessed with putting up pictures of the kids when they were babies!
What a fantastic idea! I like to frame my favorite pictures and hang them on the wall, but I also keep them online and use them as “wallpaper” on my computer’s desktop. My mom likes to get a photo calendar for Christmas each year.
Thanks everyone for all of your WONDERFUL comments!!! I do, in fact, know a wonderful digital scrapbook site. Check out my mother-in-laws site, Nan Scott Design Studio. She has many items to choose from and gives you quick tips on how to organize your photos and catch up on scrap booking!
LOVE this idea! These are SO adorable!
For each year my love and I have been together, I create a book. So our “Year One” book, for example, is a press-printed album with photos from that year, but I design it to leave some pages blank so I can add little blurbs of memories and funny stories by hand on die-cut cards and paste them in. I also include mini-envelopes on these pages and stick things like movie ticket stubs, concert stubs, boarding passes, etc. in them π
I’m already a fan on FB, thanks to Courtney Jade!
Just posted about you on my FB page! Woohoo!
i “like” you on fb!!! i usually make a ton of collages for family and friends. last year for mother’s day, i made a collage of pictures of me and my brother when we were babies with my mom and in the center a huge picture of the three of us taken recently.
I decided to take advantage of the new years sales and have been purchasing an assortment of frames in various sizes and styles but all within a single color palette (black, pewter and burnished gold) and I am in the midst of creating a wall of portraits for our family that will include images of our immediate family, extended family as well as people from past generations to create a sort of family tree on the wall that greets us when we arrive at home.
I adore your calendar design!
I just want start off by saying that I love your creative and original ideas. Koodoos to you on creating the mini accordion calendars. They are the cutest things I have ever seen. I never thought of making a calendar like this. I usually just stuff my pictures in an envelope and toss them in my purse. I like your way better. I have been following your stardom on the hostess blog and the to.kat blog. How awesome to written about because you are so talented. I can’t wait to see what valentines creativity you come up with. Keep up the good work. You are a very talented woman.
Entry 1 – All my pictures are in cds – i am trying to find an artsy way to display them – Your calendar may be just what i need!
Entry 2 – I am a fan on FB!
I never do enough with my photos. I still only have two pictures printed from my weddinf five years ago! I have started a family photo wall at our house. I also just finished Parker’s first year photo book.
I liked you on facebook and posted about the give away! My fingers are crossed. Such great work!
I’m so glad I found your blog! Thanks for the beautiful inspiration and the awesome little cupcake stand tutorial.
I’m a facebook follower, too!
I don’t do enough with my pictures either. I have a few on walls, and scrapbook others. It could be a full-time job keeping up with pictures of 3 kids!
I just liked you on Facebook!
These are so cute! I use mpix for all my photos. I knoe they say you’re not supposed to have them all over your home. But I love to have memories of all the great times we have had as a family.
Thanks so much for hosting such a great giveaway. I know that me, my mom and mother-in-law would adore these!
When I’ve got time, they go into scrapbooks!
PS – I’m loving your work and the beautiful calendars!!! Thanks for all the inspiration.
Your creative side is just beyond words. Everything is perfect! With 3 little boys, I seem to always be taking pictures. Most of the time, they stay on the computer, waiting so patiently for me to do something with them. However, I do like to change out pictures from the frames throughout the house and update them. BUT… I LOVE to send out photo cards and use the boys’ handsome faces to say our Hello’s! I would love to have a mini calendar to keep with me throughout the year to show them off as well! Please Keep Inspiring!
All of my photos get framed and put up all over the house. I swear, people probably think I’m crazy with all the frames we have around.
I already like you, thanks to my good friend Courtney Jade sharing you with me. π
Jessica! I love all your projects/Ideas! You constantly amaze me with your stuff! These calendars are SO lovely!!! I have SO many pictures that I have yet to go thru, but once I have the chance to sit down and do so, I’m going to make a couple photo books, highlighting special moments… and I plan on doing one for Emma’s 1st year. I can’t wait! xoxo
PS: We’re already FB friends π
I “tweeted” a link to the giveaway – yay!
I enlarge a lot of photos to display in our home. Others go into our blog for our blog book, Project Life {a picture a day} and digital scrapbooking. LOVE this calendar idea! Want one. Or three. (:
I “liked” you on facebook.
You are AMAZING, I don’t know how you accomplish all that you do with those three SPECIAL BOYS. I wish I could do so much. I need to get the pictures I have made into scrap books. I know Grandpa Ron would be so pleased if I could get that accomplished, but I can’t find enough hours in the day. Guess I have too many other things going…Gugs
Guess I din’t look close enough and my Hugs turned out Gugs…Sorry bout that…
I love this idea! They are so clean and cute. I have special photos on my wall, some in scrapbooks, and most on my computer. I wish I had more out and about.
I like you oon facebook! Happy to do so. These are so cute.
I love the accordion calendar! I try to display my kids’ pictures in as many places as possible, but am running out places. With the calendar I’d be able to take photos with me to share!! Even if I don’t win one (or 3) I can’t wait to see them on your etsy!
You are so incredibly talented, so glad I found you through Courtney! I have been working on blowing up and framing a bunch of my cherished pictures and doing a photo montage on my living room wall! I love photographs and like to see a lot of them at once π
I just liked you on Facebook!! Very happy to be following you on there too, that way I don’t miss a beat π
I just posted on Facebook about your giveaway π I linked Modern Moments Design in my post, but it didn’t show up on your wall for some reason.

I would put it in my purse to show the hard of seeing photos that don’t show up as well on my phone.

Great way to keep up with dates and still have pictures of the kids to show people! Love your products…I found you through a facebook friend!
Love love love!
Hi Jessica! Oh my gosh, these are FABULOUS! I’m an old black and white photo fanatic. I have a large framed corkboard in my keeping room and post old family pics and new ones that I’ve converted to b & w. I’d love to make an accordion calendar using all the “vintage” family photos I’ve collected over the years…my grandfather as a young sailor (oh so handsome), my grandmother as a new mom with a shiny satin ribbon in her hair (she was 17 and beautiful!!), my mom with her brothers and sisters (girls resplendent with bouffant hair-do’s, as their mom was a hairdresser), beautiful old christening photos, first communions and weddings…the list goes on and on! What a treasure to keep and share, long after 2011.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas and finds!
~Mia
P.S. I like you on facebook…and in real life too, lol.
I would love to get one of these. I would display all my family/kids photos that are not currently framed and hanging on the walls.
I already “like” you on facebook.
I shared your page with all my facebook friends and I know some already marked “like”. I just love all your items.
Jessica
You sure have skills! I have been seeing your work on fb for quite sometime but love your website. Congrats on all your success! I would be happy to share with my friends about your work.
All my best,
Lindsey
Um, most of my pictures sit on my camera…until I download them…and then they sit on my computer. I’m terrible about pictures!
Oh, and I liked your page π
I only scrapbook online. I’m too lazy to actually do it with physical supplies! Jessica I don’t know how you do it all. You have such a creative side, manage a business and a family at the same time……when I grow up I wanna be just like you!!
Already a fan of yours on fb!
We’re waiting on the approval of our new house so we’re
living with my parents.. space is CRAMPED so all of my pictures are
put in storage. Makes me sad I can’t see our sweet family pictures!
I’d love one of these cute things. When I have a house, pictures
will be throughout the house of course. xoxo
I have a gazillion photos..I get them straight to the album
with the intention of scrapbook them but that part never
happens!
OH and PS……..shared your link on FB.
I love scrapbooking my photos.
I liked you before the give away!
I invited all my female facebook friends to “like” your
site.
I have great plans/ideas for all my photos but honestly most of them are either on the computer, on a CD, or still on the camera. It is always a “to do” item.
I am “Friends” with you already. Of course!
Love the calender! Am a photographer and like printing out
my most cherished moments 6x6cm on an A2 canvas, all black and
white! I love the feel it generates! They make great gifts for
loved ones as well π Also, I “like” you on facebook now…and my
status update: Ladies, do yourself a favour and go have a look at
https://m.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%253A%252F%252Fmodernmomentsdesigns.com%252F2011%252F01%252F11%252Fadorable-mini-accordion-calendars%252F&h=e9aca&refid=0
great diy ideas! Also visit emily’s blog! Amazing stuff!!!
okay, well I guess I didn’t read all the instructions
right, thinking these others girls were not putting the correct
answer and the whole time it was me π I take tons of photos, leave
on memory card, then download to comp where they are nicely file
din folders, some make to Fb and that is the most people ever see
of them…
Hi! I know the contest to win the free calendar is over…BUT I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know how much I adore the calendar. This is such a cute idea…a pocket-size calendar with personal photos. I’ll be sharing this one on my blog. π
